Disabling System and Site Notifications
We recommend that test-takers disable all system and website notifications before starting an exam. Notifications can disrupt your focus, reveal private information, and possibly trigger Proctorio to remove you from your exam.
Disabling System Notifications
Mac
Apple menu > System Settings > Focus
Windows
Turn off notifications in Windows...
Start > Settings > System > Notifications (or Focus Assist)
Chrome OS
Time > Do Not Disturb
Disabling Site Notifications
Type "chrome://settings/content/notifications" into your browser address bar and press Return.
To disable all notifications, select the option to turn off or not allow notifications.
To turn off notifications for a specific site, locate the site in the Allowed area. Next click the More Actions button to the right and select either Block or Remove.
