Launch a supported internet browser

Launch a supported internet browser. When you’re ready to take a proctored exam, make sure you’re using one of Proctorio’s supported internet browsers. This ensures your exam runs smoothly and all features work correctly. If you don’t already have one installed, choose and download one from the list below. Installation only takes a few minutes.

Once installed, open the browser of your choice to begin the setup process.

Install the Proctorio extension

The Proctorio browser extension is what enables secure, proctored testing on your computer. This step only needs to be completed once, after that, the extension will update automatically whenever improvements are released.

Click the link below to download and install the extension in your browser. You may see a small confirmation pop-up asking if you want to “Add Extension, click “Yes,” or “Add” to complete the process. Once installed, you should see the Proctorio shield icon in the top corner of your browser.

Take your exam

After setup, go to your Learning Management System (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.) or your exam provider’s platform. Navigate to your course or assessment and start your proctored exam. Make sure you’re in a quiet, well-lit space with a reliable internet connection. Follow on-screen instructions carefully, and you’ll be ready to begin. Best of luck!
