About the Role

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will support our design team in creating intuitive, user-centered experiences across our products. Working alongside senior designers, product managers, and developers, you will gain hands-on exposure to the full design process, from user research and wireframing through prototyping, testing, and handoff. This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply your design knowledge in a real-world product environment, build your portfolio, and grow your skills under the mentorship of experienced designers.

Management

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing user interfaces for web and/or mobile applications under the guidance of senior designers
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows
  • Support user research activities including usability testing, surveys, and competitive analysis
  • Help maintain and contribute to the team's design system, component library, and style guides
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and translate them into design solutions
  • Participate in design critiques and review sessions, giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Assist in documenting design decisions, user flows, and interaction specifications for developer handoff
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and usability findings
  • Support the team in preparing design assets, presentations, and documentation
  • Attend and actively participate in agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Continuously learn design principles, tools, and best practices throughout the internship

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction,
  • Product Design, or a related field
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Basic proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Foundational understanding of UI/UX design principles, typography, color theory, and layout
  • Ability to create wireframes, basic prototypes, and visual mockups
  • A portfolio or collection of design work (academic projects, personal projects, or freelance work) demonstrating design thinking and visual skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in creating user-centered experiences
  • Eagerness to learn, take direction, and incorporate feedback into your work
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and explain design decisions clearly

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to user research methods and usability testing techniques
  • Basic understanding of web technologies, including HTML and CSS, and how designs translate to development
  • Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles
  • Experience contributing to or working within a design system or component library
  • Exposure to accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Familiarity with motion design or micro-interaction principles
  • Any experience working in an agile or product team environment
