About the Role

As a Junior Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to real software projects alongside our engineering team. This internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional software development. You will work on meaningful tasks, participate in team workflows, and receive mentorship from senior engineers to help you grow your technical and collaborative skills throughout the program.

Management

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of software features under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Write clean, readable code following team standards and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews to learn from feedback and contribute observations
  • Help identify and document software bugs, edge cases, and potential improvements
  • Write basic unit tests and assist in validating feature functionality
  • Contribute to internal documentation, including technical notes and how-to guides
  • Attend and actively participate in agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Communicate progress and blockers clearly and proactively with your team
  • Collaborate with QA, product, and other engineering team members as needed
  • Take initiative in learning the codebase, product, and development tools used by the team

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Basic proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, C#, Java, or similar)
  • Foundational knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to receive and act on feedback
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Preferred Skills

  • Coursework or personal projects involving software development or testing
  • Exposure to agile or scrum workflows
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, databases, or cloud services
  • Any experience with automated testing or CI/CD tools
