About the Role

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of software features across one or more of our core products. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment. You will be expected to write clean, well-tested code, actively engage in code reviews, and continuously grow your technical skills under the guidance of experienced team members.

Management

Responsibilities

  • Write, test, and maintain code for new and existing features across assigned projects
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and QA to understand requirements and deliver solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Debug and resolve software defects in a timely manner, documenting root causes and fixes
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including inline code comments, README files, and wiki entries
  • Follow established coding standards, version control practices, and deployment procedures
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and status updates clearly and promptly within the team
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
  • Support QA and operations teams during testing cycles and production issue resolution
  • Continuously improve your understanding of the product, codebase, and business domain

Requirements

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 0 to 2 years of professional software development experience (internships and academic projects considered)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar)
  • Foundational understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles and writing unit tests
  • Ability to learn quickly, take direction well, and ask questions proactively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with SaaS products or cloud-based environments
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum development methodologies
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and basic database concepts
