As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines that keep our products running reliably and at scale. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, automating workflows, managing infrastructure, and ensuring that systems are secure, observable, and highly available. Working closely with software engineers, security, and product teams, you will drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organization.
Management
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across one or more cloud platforms
- Build, manage, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable software delivery
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code tools
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users
- Respond to and lead resolution of production incidents, conducting post-mortems and implementing preventative measures
- Enforce cloud security best practices including identity and access management, secrets management, and network security
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application architecture for cloud-native deployment
- Manage containerization and orchestration of services using Docker and Kubernetes
- Maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans and procedures
- Optimize cloud resource usage and costs through monitoring, rightsizing, and architectural improvements
- Define and maintain SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical systems and services
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, platforms, and practices that improve reliability and developer productivity
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and security teams
Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- More than 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure roles
- Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with relevant certifications preferred
- Experience in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
- Solid experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and CDNs
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure during incidents
Preferred Skills
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Engineer, or Azure Administrator
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
- Exposure to database administration and managed database services
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architectures
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR
- Familiarity with chaos engineering and reliability testing practices
