Spotlight: Our Design Team

Proctorio is much more than an education technology company—it’s a "fashion house" where functionality and art are thoughtfully crafted to convey stories, promote engagement, and enhance product accessibility. This is much in part due to the efforts of Proctorio’s fully women-led Design Team, who embody creativity, diversity, and collaboration. Evidence of their talent abounds among our website, products, and swag, which we and our customers pridefully don. While we can’t possibly describe all their incredible contributions here, we can certainly take a moment to recognize each team member and highlight their unique contributions.

Genesis ("G"), our Director of Product Design, is an accomplished leader whose artistic vision, product knowledge, and user empathy help guide and inspire the daily work at Proctorio. Genesis began her career at Proctorio as a Customer Advocate while still attending school as a design student. In a short time, she became a graphic designer, a role that leveraged her experience and design skills to elevate Proctorio’s aesthetics and functionality. Genesis’s intuition, meticulousness, and inclusive thinking make her a natural leader, and now—eight years later—she directs a highly collaborative team of adept designers.

Lauren, our Design Manager, uses her diverse talents to cultivate a cohesive and charismatic brand identity. Lurking beneath her jovial personality is a highly methodical mind, which she uses to evaluate, evolve, and codify Proctorio’s design standards. Lauren’s work is informed by thorough research, staying attuned to both cultural and industry trends and shifts in user behavior. All the while, she serves as a willing mentor to a highly collaborative team of burgeoning designers, who benefit not just from her expertise but genuineness as well.

Jerize, our Digital Designer and youngest team member, transforms words and napkin sketches into art. Her chic and avant-garde illustrations imbue life and personality into our website, social media, collateral, swag, and well, just about everything. Never one to shy away from a tight deadline, Jerize’s collaborative spirit and laid-back disposition make her a joy to work with.

Soleil, Proctorio’s newest design team member, has already proven herself a proficient Visual Designer. Using her knowledge and savvy, she designs intuitive, inviting interfaces that enhance and enrich our users' experience. Soleil’s warmth is felt throughout the office, and her ever-present smile has become a welcome fixture at Proctorio.

Our spotlight series is meant not only to recognize our outstanding staff but also to remind our users that good people, working together, lie behind Proctorio’s products and technology. With their boundless imagination and creativity, the members of the Design team endeavor to personify Proctorio and fashion human-centric products that unify technology and art.
