Sustainable Forest Management Training

In the state of Rondônia, Brazil, training farmers in sustainable forest management practices prioritizes biodiversity conservation goals, such as maintaining forest coverage and protecting wildlife species. Crucial for carbon storage, long-term forest protection and preservation helps to prevent deforestation.

Ocean Protection through Plastic Collection

For every ton of CO2 saved through certified climate projects, 10 kg of plastic is collected from coastal regions, intercepting plastic before it reaches the ocean and protecting sensitive marine ecosystems from pollution.

Collaborative Forest Conservation

In collaboration with local indigenous communities in Colombia, forest protection efforts stimulate sustainable economic growth while promoting values of preservation and conservation. Strengthened governance for indigenous territories can mitigate the negative impacts of deforestation.

Clean Water Access

By repairing broken water wells in the Zoba Maekel district of Eritrea, not only can we ensure access to clean water but also reduce the need for families to resort to boiling water over open fires. This dual benefit not only decreases CO2 emissions and deforestation but contributes positively to the ongoing fight against global warming.

Matebe Hydroelectric Plant

Proctorio calculates its carbon footprint and invests in projects around the world that offset our total carbon emissions. As part of this, Proctorio has supported and contributed several sustainable practices to the Matebe Hydroelectric Plant in Virunga, Congo, home to Africa's oldest national park and one of the last mountain gorilla populations in the world. The plant is estimated to save almost 50,000 tons of CO2 per year and ultimately hopes to bring 12,000 sustainable, green-economy jobs to those of the Rutshuru region, providing residents with clean, affordable energy.
