Students Affected by L.A. Wildfires to Receive Complimentary Remote Exams

With the recent eruption of wildfires across the Los Angeles area, schools and colleges are closed for the foreseeable future due to the devastation fueled by dry conditions and strong winds. The destructive fire has forced tens of thousands of students to be displaced as their institutions continue to assess the situation and its damage. Proctorio announced today that it will offer its online exam services free of charge for anyone affected, allowing students to take exams from remote locations.

Founder and CEO, Mike Olsen, stated, “Wildfires like these can displace entire communities, and we want to do our part to help. During times like these, it’s crucial we find ways to keep education accessible. By offering free remote exams, we hope to make it easier for students to continue their studies without additional barriers, no matter the circumstances they face.”

Aware of the difficulties caused by the wildfire’s devastation, and the challenges of shifting between in-person and online learning during this tumultuous time, Proctorio is dedicated to offering as much support as possible to help students through this transition.
